September 2022 ~ The Latest From Second Helpings Atlanta

It’s Hunger Action Month and we hope you’ll join us to take action against food insecurity.

Thanks to dedicated supporters, volunteers and friends like you, we’ve rescued over 18 million pounds of food since our founding in 2004! Because of you, we’ve diverted millions of pounds of fresh, healthy, surplus food from landfills and shared it with those who need it most. 

At Second Helpings Atlanta, we take action

• because no one should have to choose between paying a bill or feeding their family
• to support the 1 in 7 children and 1 in 9 adults in our service area who aren’t sure where their next meal is coming from
• because 100% of Atlantans shouldn’t have to travel more than half-mile to access fresh food
