Zero Waste Cooking Classes with SHA
SHA is celebrating Earth Day throughout the month of April! Join us for a series of virtual “Zero Waste Cooking Classes” at 5 p.m. on Sundays throughout April to prepare recipes with ingredients you otherwise might throw away.
These classes will be led by Chef and Owner of Mercer Street Meals Lance Gummere (Sunday, April 11), author of “Chez Marc’s Quarantine Cookbook” Marc Pollack (Sunday, April 18) and “Southern Ground” author Jennifer Lapidus (Sunday, April 25).
Join a class to support SHA’s mission to promote sustainability and drive out hunger from Metro Atlanta by diverting fresh, surplus food from landfills. Classes are free and a voluntary donation is appreciated.
- Sunday, April 11 – Roasted Chicken, Chicken Stock and Schmaltz with Lance Gummere, Chef and Owner of Mercer Street Meals
- Sunday, April 18 – Shrimp & Grits, Shrimp Risotto and Shrimp Stock with Marc Pollack, author of “Chez Marc’s Quarantine Cookbook”
- Sunday, April 25 – Sweet Citrus Dough Cookies with Jennifer Lapidus, founder of Carolina Ground and author of “Southern Ground”
