The Braves are Striking Out Hunger in Metro Atlanta

Many families are struggling to put food on the table due to COVID-19 and the Atlanta Braves are stepping up to bat with the Braves Home Plate Project. 

Chef Pete Smithing and his team are cooking meals out of the kitchens at Truist Park to donate to those in need across Braves Country. Second Helpings Atlanta is partnering with the Braves as their logistics experts to distribute these meals to three of our Partner Agencies, At-Promise, Action Ministries Women’s Community Kitchen, and Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. The project will provide over 9,000 meals to these Second Helpings Atlanta Partner Agencies over 6 weeks.
